Are you a mom who loves to write? Do you write for a living? Or maybe you want to get started in your freelance writing career? Freelance Writing Moms is here for you.

It can be tough to be a freelancer and a mom. Whether you work from home, work on-site, or do a combination of different writing situations, we all have some things in common. We write. We have families. And we all strive for some balance.

What I hope to create here is a place where you can find support, resources, and a community of women who do what you do. I don’t know about you, but I get tired of seeing job listings that say they’re “perfect for stay-at-home moms.” That’s usually code for low-paying. And I’m not going to take it any more. I’m a work-at-home mom. And my work and time are just as valuable as a corporate employee’s time. I will not accept low-paying jobs any more. I will determine what my time is worth and I will pursue jobs that support that.

This site is for you. We already have communities on Facebook and LinkedIn, and I’d like to provide more information and articles here. To support you in what you do. What would you like to see? What would help you in your career? What are you struggling with right now and how can we help you?

My name is Becky Scott. I’m a writer, editor, and photographer. My goal is to support other freelance writers who are moms and just trying to earn some money, support their families, and keep a tiny shred of sanity while they try to do it all.
